Meet our teachers ...

Sofia Otterbeck

As the creative force behind of Four Otter Craft Studio, I'm Sofia. My love for working with textile fibres was ignited at a young age. Throughout my life, I've been surrounded by crafting women who are committed to preserving old crafts and knowledge and I have always been an eager learner.

When I moved to England from Sweden in 2018, I felt It was time for a change and I left my career as a teacher and have been focusing on knitting and spinning yarn full time.

Opening the craft studio is a dream come true. It is a joy to connect with fellow crafters and enthusiasts and this will provide a possibility to pass on my own knowledge and experience face to face in classes and workshops as well as creating a space where people can come together.

I'm looking forward to helping people discover their creative potential and uncover new ways to express themselves through the art of knitting.

I'm Nessa, the visionary founder of Four Otter Craft Studio! My journey in the crafting world has been nothing short of remarkable, fuelled by unwavering dedication and a profound love for textiles. For the past 15 years, I've poured my heart and soul into honing my skills and expertise, all while sharing my knowledge and passion through teaching.

In addition to my creative pursuits, I have a beautiful family that brings me joy and inspiration. My husband, two grown-up children, and the delightful adventure of raising my grandson have filled my life with love and warmth.

Education has been a driving force in my life, and I'm proud to hold both a BA in Textiles and an MA in Textile Design. It's my deep-rooted vision to use my creative talents not only for personal growth but also to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
